<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6062 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING KURT ULRICH TO THE POSITION OF <br />MOUNDS VIEW CITY CLERK/ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council, the City Clerk / <br />Administrator position was advertised; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 34 applications were received for the position and the City Council <br />interviewed five candidates on June 14,2003; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kurt Ulrich's skills and experience most closely matched the identified <br />needs of the City and after a special meeting of the Council on June 16,2003, the position <br />was offered to Mr. Ulrich and negotiations regarding the compensation package were <br />initiated; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Ulrich consented to a drivers license and criminal background <br />check which were performed, the results of which revealed nothing of note; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 10,2003, Mr. Ulrich accepted the position underthe terms and <br />conditions of employment articulated in a letter dated June 30, 2003. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />appoints Kurt Ulrich as the City of Mounds View City Clerk / Administrator to begin <br />employment on July 21, 2003. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes a starting salary of <br />Step 2 ($$77,013) with an increase to Step 3 ($81 ,543) after six months of employment <br />and an increase to Step 4 ($86,073) after one year of employment and an increase to Step <br />5 ($90,604) after two years of employment; all increases subject to satisfactory <br />performance and City Council authorization. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mr. Ulrich will receive 10 days of banked vacation <br />and 20 days of banked sick leave at the start of employment. Mr. Ulrich will accrue 15 <br />days of vacation in year one, 16 days of vacation in year two, 17 days in year three, 18 <br />days in year four, 19 days in year five and will accrue 20 days of vacation (the maximum) <br />beginning in year six. <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that Mr. Ulrich shall serve at the will of the Council and <br />may be terminated with or without cause at any time. Severance and separation <br />compensation shall be consistent with the Letter of Hire and the City's personnel policies. <br />All other personnel policies will apply as they would for any other management employee. <br />
