<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 6066 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZATING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH CITIZENOBSERVER.COM, INC FOR ACCESS TO AND A <br />PRESENCE ON THEIR LAW ENFORCEMENT WEBSIT.E <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CitizenObserver Inc. maintains a web site utilized for the sharing of <br />infonnation bctween law enforcement and people in the community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, participation for a city the size of Mounds View 011 this web site would cost <br />$2500 per year; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, several neighboring law enforcement agencies are taking advantage of <br />CitizenObserver as a centralized location that citizens can access to obtain relevant information <br />about their own community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CitizcnObserver is often able to subsidize the cost of participation for cities <br />and law enforcement agencies by offering companies interested in donating funds, an adveliising <br />banner on the web site; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, CitizenObserver has an offer from Security Services Group LLC to fully <br />fund the participation of a law enforcement agency on the Citizen Observcr web site; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there would be no cost or future obligation on the part of the Mounds View <br />Police Department, or the City of Mounds View for futurc pmiicipation, should outside funding <br />cease to exist. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby authorize staff to enter it into a user agreement with CitizenObserver Inc. to establish a <br />presence for the Mounds View Police Department on their web sitc. <br /> <br />Adopted this 28th day of July, 2003. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br />/<c-4L' ~~ Q <br /> <br />Kurt Uhich, City C ert( / Admiili'stfator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
