<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6097 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A RENEWAL OF THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY GIS USERS GROUP <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Ramsey County GIS Users Group was formed in 1995 by <br />interested cities in order to encourage organizations to cooperate through the sharing of <br />resources, data and ideas, primarily for the establishment and maintenance of geographic <br />information systems (GIS) within local units of government; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View first entered into a joint powers agreement <br />with the user group in 1997 renewing its participation in 2000; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, continued participation with the Ramsey County GIS User Group will <br />afford the City access to critical County base data and city parcel data for mapping and <br />informational purposes; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County's data offers a base to which the City can add layers <br />comprising, for example, comprehensive plan designations, zoning overlays, land use <br />districts, street systems, utility lines and infrastructure, pavement management rankings, <br />code enforcement activity, permits and calls for service. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, in order to continue the City's ability to <br />create, manage and manipulate maps and data, the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby authorize the execution of the Joint Powers Agreement (attached as Exhibit A) valid <br />through December 31, 2005. <br /> <br />Adopted this 22nd day of September, 2003. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />}~ <br />~(~y <br /> <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
