Caomiesionere agreed to wait ��� � <br />Eor the decision�of the City Council�before�estab-��� <br />lishing a formal priority Liet. . <br />New Members Cha:Crman Baumgartner led a diecuesion regarding <br />new members-establishing an interview and aelection <br />system. He suggested as a atarting point that the <br />Director draft a letter and queetionaire which <br />would be sent to all interested parties. Caomissionera <br />recommended items to be included in the letter- <br />questionaire. It vss agreed to Lave this back by <br />the next regular session to enable additional measurea <br />to be taken. <br />Trail System Camniasioner Haake, Coplin, and Peterson volunteered <br />-,-.,. to form a subcommittee to seek informatlon regarding. <br />trail systems. This�would be�diecueeed at the next _. <br />meeting. The commission would then begin the pra- <br />liminariea for drafting a plan for a Mounds View Trail <br />SyRYem. <br />Co�unity Education Mr. Bryant pointed out tkiat School District #631 l�as <br />now taken final steps in relinquishing recreational <br />reaponaibilities to the municipalities and specializing <br />in cammunity education. Under this approach it lfas <br />been recommended that the municipalities also talce <br />pool operations under their recreational umbrella�with <br />a potential starting date September lst. A task forca <br />has been asaigned to study thia proposal and to raport <br />in June or July, 1974. <br />Survey A brief discuesion ensued ralative to the Leisure� <br />Behavior, Attitude, and Interest Survey which was <br />developed by the City Administrator, Park and <br />Recreation Department, and League oE Wamen Voters. <br />Mr. Bryant co�ented that the League of Wamen Voters <br />initiated the eurvey and will piay an important role <br />aa they aill take the eurvey to 120 homas (all typs�) <br />and interview household members. In addition, the <br />League has made arrangements wi[h the Mokn-Rameey <br />College to compute a report oi the stntisticel <br />survey results. This would be available sometime in <br />r�ny. <br />Duplicating Machine An agreement has been mada by the City and League oE <br />Wmen Votars to eMre the expeneee oE Mving the <br />exieting CSty duplicnting machine repaired. In turn� <br />the League would hnve acceu and free use of the <br />msc6lne, only covaring thair proper wsts. <br />
