, MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF TtfE <br />, PARK AND RECREATION COUfdYSSION <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Fsgu!aT Session <br />March 6, 1975 <br />Pinewood Elementary <br />Call to Order 7iie Mounds Yiew Park and Recreation Commission met in regular <br />session and was called to order by Chaarman Peterson at 6:3G P.M. <br />Roll Call Chairman Vern Peterson, Co�issioners, Wayne Burmeister, Jacque <br />Coplin, Barbara Haake, Gordon Fedor and Wayne Weflen. Also <br />present was Councilman Roger Baumgartner. guest Don Mackeben and <br />Director poug Bryant. <br />Approval of Minutes <br />z/60�5 <br />Chairman's Report <br />� <br />Cowaissioner Haake requested that the minutes be changed under <br />Chairperson Election; the word 'abstained' to be replaced by <br />withdrew. <br />Motion by Co�issioner Haake and seconded by Coum�issioner <br />Burmeisier to approve the minutes of the February 6, 1975, <br />meeting. The motion passed unanimausly. <br />Chairman Peterson called on Don Mackeben, President of the <br />Mounds View Baseball Association, to inform commissioners of the <br />upcoaing baseball season. <br />�fackeben reported that in 1974-1129 youngsters i� district <br />a621 participated and there were 73 teams. He added Lhat the <br />program vas purely recreational and held the best interest of <br />the children involved. <br />He continued by conplementing Mounds View on their quality <br />fields and the outstanding job of maintaining them. He then <br />sabutted his field request and ansMered the questions of the <br />comissioners. <br />Councilman's Report Councilman Baumgartner stated that the Joint Powers agreement <br />w�ld go before the Council at the March 10, 1975, regular <br />meeting. He thought that it would be approved based on the long <br />term evaluation by the Council and school board. <br />Master Plan <br />V.S. Day Activity Ctr <br />� <br />Next on the agenda Chairman Peterson called on the Director to <br />report on the Master Plan. <br />Bryant stated that the plan was taking more time than expectzd <br />and that its c�pletion was somewhat dependent an the weekly <br />work flow. He hoped eo have a draft by the next �xeting. <br />The Chairman called on the Director to report on the North <br />Suburban Day Activity Center and specifically Trevilla Nursing <br />Home. <br />
