Also present <br />1•�as Cnuncilriember,C-ordon Ziebarth; Program Supervisor, <br />f�lary I:valheim; and Director, C�oug [3ryant. <br />Minutes of the March 24, 1977 Parks & Recreation <br />Commission meeting stand approved as read. No objeCtions. <br />Councilmember Councilmember Ziebarth reported that the City Council <br />Report supported the Commission on the beer in parks issue. <br />Tiiey agreed on nu ueer in ��eighborhood parks and <br />limited consumption in community and special use parks <br />Silver View <br />Community Park <br />L.P.W. Grant <br />Mini-6ikes/ <br />Snowmobiles <br />Joint Meeting <br />Council/ <br />Commission <br />Comnunity <br />F.ducation Dinner <br />Adjournme�t <br />The first item on business was an updated report on <br />the p�•opo;ed acquisition of ;ilver View Community Park. <br />The D�irector reported. <br />Concensus by meinber; present to prioritize the following <br />parks !"or poteni:ial construction of shelter buildiogs. <br />P4embers present: Haake, Fedor, and Weflen. Priorities: <br />1) Greenfirld, 2) Woodcrost, 3) Hillview, 4) Lambert, <br />5) Grnveland, G) City Hall, 7) Ardan. <br />After a discussion on existing conditions in Mounds ViE�t <br />regarding mini bikes and snowmobiles the Commissian <br />requcsted staff to develop an ordinance and submit it t4 <br />Commissioners at least one week in advance of the meetiflg ' <br />for which it is scheduled to be evaluated. <br />The Director suggested that the Commission get together <br />with the f,ity Councit for a p�•esentation on Parks, <br />Rer.reation, and Forestry. Commiss;oners suggested July <br />or August for such a meeting. <br />Jar.que fpplin reminded Commissioners of the upcoming <br />dinner meeting sponsored by Gommunity F.ducation in which <br />community ieaders within distriet G21 wnu}d discuss: Lhe;; <br />role �f ,youth athietics. <br />The �arks & Recreation Commission adjourned at $;15 p.m.- <br />
