Call To Order <br />MINUTES OF THE PROCEED;PdGS Of THE <br />PARKS AidD RECREATIOfd COMMISSION <br />CITY OF MOUtJDS VIEW <br />COUIlTY OF RA�4SEY <br />STATE OF MI'dNESOTA <br />Regular Session <br />�M1�y '� ,�,� <br />City�Hall <br />The Mounds View Parks & Recreation Cemmission <br />met in regular session and was called to order by <br />Acting Chairperson Barb Haake at E:50 p.m. <br />Roll Call Acting Chairperson Barb Haake, Commissioners,Ja:q��c <br />Coplin, Gordon Fedor, and Wayne Weflen. Aiso present <br />was Councilmember,Gordon Ziebarth; Program Supervisor, <br />Mary Kvaiheim; and Director, Doug Bryant. <br />Approval of Minutes of the March 24, 1977 Parks & Recreation <br />Minutes Commission meeting stand approved as read. P!o objections. <br />Councilmember Councilmember Ziebarth reported that the City Council <br />Report supported the Commission on the beer in parks issue. <br />They agreed on no beer in neighborhood parks and <br />limited consumption in community and special use parks. <br />Silver View The first item on business was an updated report cn <br />Community Park the proposed acquisition of Silver Vie+a Community Park. <br />The Director reported. <br />L.P.W. Grant Concensus by members present to prioritize the following <br />parks for potential constructian of shelter buildings. <br />Members present: Haake, Fedor, and Weflen. Priorities: <br />1) Greenfield, 2) Woodcrest, 3) Hillview, 4) Lambert, <br />5) Groveland, 6) City Hall, 7) Ardan. <br />Mini-�iikes/ After a discussion on existing conditions in Mounds View <br />Snowmobiles regarding mini bikes and snowmobiles the Commission <br />requested staff to develop an ordinance and submit it to <br />Commissioners at least one week in advance of the meeting <br />for which it is scheduled to be evaluated. <br />Joint Meeting The Director suggested that the Commission get together <br />Council; with the City Council for a presentation on Parks, <br />Commisr cn Recreation, and Forestry. Commissioners suggested July <br />or August for such a meeting. <br />Corrmunity �acque Coplin reminded Commissioners of the upcoming <br />Education Dinner dinner meeting sponsored by Community Education in which <br />community leaders within district 621 would discuss the <br />role of youtn athletics. <br />Adjournment The Parks & Recreation Cort¢nission adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br />
