Among the stateventa were:
i. Aecrea[ioo is hecoming more and more anti-social as people build
tackyard swiing pools, pucchase billiard [ables and drive away [o
cabina far, far away.
2. The neighborhood parks are desgined for the 7-15 year old male.
3. Programe must reach ou[ to where people are 5 yeara frov now, not
vhere they are at today.
4. One of [he major roles of a municipality is [o encourage outside
"priva[e" recreation reaourcee ro[heir commvnity rather [han attempt
to be the pavacea of all thetr ci[iea recrea[ion ills.
The luncheon aeasion was delightful although qui[e scary as our guest speaker
John 5. Hoyt Jr., Deputy Direc[or of Central Solar Energy Research shared hia
feelings on [he fu[ure. WOWI
1. 10 yeare from now we won'[ be able [o get on a freeway wi[h less
than 4 passengers.
2.
