Greenfield Park
2. Gmveland Park
3. Hillview Park
4. Lambert Park
5. Woodcreat P k
l'v. CL•tKd rk
Hach of the shelter buildings (except Groveland) is a wooden structur
approximately 12' x 20' in varying states of repaiz. The fifth building
at Groveland Park is an obsolete Star and Tribune Paper shack building
made of inetal and is approdmately 8' x 20'.
The buildinga aze presently used as vinter skating sheltexs during 12 weeka
of the year and left vacant for the remaining 40 weeks. The one exception
ia Greenfield Park which is used during the majority of the year as a storage
building for fertilizer and marking ¢ompound.
The buildings as scated are in varying etates of dis-rnpair, but they have
eerved their function as win[er ska[ing shelters during the past.
Staff would propose the following modifications, improvements and timelines
be adopted by the Parks and Recreation Commission:
1. The four wooden buildings should be re-furbished during the aummer
of 1978 by the Four City's C.E.T.A. enployees including:
a, Repaint interior and exterior of each bullding ueing earth
tones and aupergraphica to enhance their vieual appearance.
b. All interior benchea should be rebullt and replaced as eeeded
including bina for ska[ers ahoea and peraonal equipment.
c. New locks, haspa, doorknobs and other hardware items ehould be
rnbuilt or replaced as required.
