MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF TFIE PARKS AND RECREATION COMAfIS5I0N CITY OF MOUNDS VIEVY COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF L1INNESOTA Call to Order Roll Call Regular Session August 24, 1978 Mounds View City Hall Council Chambers 6:30 p.m. The Mounds View Parks and Recreation Commission was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Chairman Wayne Burmeister. Commissioners Present - Chairman Burmeister, Commissioners Linke, Coplin, Fedor $ Kuluvar. Commissioners Absent - Commissioner Haake, Weflen and Councilmember Ziebarth. Staff Present - Director Anderson. Approval of Commissioner Linke made a motion and seconded by Minutes Commissioner Kuluvar to approve the minutes as read and to add the correspondence dated August 18 from bir. {Yilliam Beim, Pinecrest Properties as an official addendum to the minutes. Chairman's Report. Councilmembers Report The motion passed unanimously. 5 Ayes 0 Nays Chairman Burmeistar reported two major occurances: 1. He had the opportunity to visit the 6faplewood Farmer's btarket program during the previous week and he stated that he felt it was a good program. 2. Chairman Burmeister also reported that the Storm Water Task Force Report had been completed and made the comment that they had reviewed a docu- ment outlining the existing park drainage problems and felt they had been taken into consideration. Councilmember 2iebarth was not in attendance, so Director Anderson outlined the recent City Council action: 1. The "Farmer's Market" program has been postponed at least a year for further study by Staff to determine if it is feasible to offer the program under the existing City Council guidelines. 2. Lambert Park - Upon further review by Staff it was determined that an additional 51,000 would be needed to re-locate the Lambert Park Shalter building to accommodate the new tot lot. The City Council allocated this expense from the City �ark and Playground Fund.
