MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF TFIE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMAfIS5I0N <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEVY <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF L1INNESOTA <br />Call to Order <br />Roll Call <br />Regular Session <br />August 24, 1978 <br />Mounds View City Hall <br />Council Chambers 6:30 p.m. <br />The Mounds View Parks and Recreation Commission <br />was called to order at 7:15 p.m. by Chairman <br />Wayne Burmeister. <br />Commissioners Present - Chairman Burmeister, <br />Commissioners Linke, Coplin, Fedor $ Kuluvar. <br />Commissioners Absent - Commissioner Haake, Weflen <br />and Councilmember Ziebarth. <br />Staff Present - Director Anderson. <br />Approval of Commissioner Linke made a motion and seconded by <br />Minutes Commissioner Kuluvar to approve the minutes as <br />read and to add the correspondence dated August 18 <br />from bir. {Yilliam Beim, Pinecrest Properties as an <br />official addendum to the minutes. <br />Chairman's <br />Report. <br />Councilmembers <br />Report <br />The motion passed unanimously. 5 Ayes <br />0 Nays <br />Chairman Burmeistar reported two major occurances: <br />1. He had the opportunity to visit the 6faplewood <br />Farmer's btarket program during the previous <br />week and he stated that he felt it was a good <br />program. <br />2. Chairman Burmeister also reported that the Storm <br />Water Task Force Report had been completed and <br />made the comment that they had reviewed a docu- <br />ment outlining the existing park drainage problems <br />and felt they had been taken into consideration. <br />Councilmember 2iebarth was not in attendance, so <br />Director Anderson outlined the recent City Council <br />action: <br />1. The "Farmer's Market" program has been postponed <br />at least a year for further study by Staff to <br />determine if it is feasible to offer the program <br />under the existing City Council guidelines. <br />2. Lambert Park - Upon further review by Staff it <br />was determined that an additional 51,000 would <br />be needed to re-locate the Lambert Park Shalter <br />building to accommodate the new tot lot. The <br />City Council allocated this expense from the <br />City �ark and Playground Fund. <br />
