No <br />major decisions were made other than the addition of two more <br />building coordinators which will expand our available gym time. <br />N.R.P.A. Congress - I had the good fortune of attending the National <br />Aecreation ongress in Miami Beach from October 14 - 18. Besides <br />the fact it rained 5 out of 6 days we were there, the conference <br />was very good. See the enclosed staff report for the Congress <br />highlights, <br />Park hfaintenance - Ed Peterson has been retained as a part-time <br />maintenance man to assist the full-time crew with their Fall work <br />load through November 17. <br />Chris Weston, park maintenance, became the proud father of a baby <br />boy during the last week in October. <br />Candidates hleetin - A large turnout (over 150) came out to hear <br />t e cas i ates present their platform on Thursday, October 26. <br />The following candidates are currently running for office: <br />Mayoral Candidates: Duane McCarty, Russel Pahl and John Pickar. <br />City Council Candidates: Charlotte Forslund, Don Hodges, John <br />Kardell, Dick Schonhardt, Jim Schlichtmann and Josie Warren. <br />
