CITY: North St. Paul
CONTACT: Steve Roe
DATE: September 5. 1979
PHONE: 770-4471
1. There are 12 parks in the city. The city ball fields and the school
distr5ct ball fields.
2. We ask that a resident of the city get the permit for a large group to
use park facilities (i.e. if a company wants to hold a company picnic in
a city park> usually they got the idea from a resident of the city who
works for their corporation. So we ask that the resident get the permit
for the group.)
We ask that they reserve the park facilities one or two weeks in advance.
And groups must follow the rules pertain5ng to hours and liquor.
Liqiror is allowed in the park (strong beer, and hard liquor). There is
no fee or perm't required if it's just a family group. A group does require
a permit to sell beer.
$5 deposit for key for restroom (at the park sheiters). The $5 is refundable
but they key is due back on Monday a.m.
$15 equ5pment fee for using city equipment package (whTch includes a volley-
ba11 set.)
Ball Fields - 1 hour basis M-F (Altogether, ff two teams wanted to scrimmage,
they couget a field far 3 hours. One team could reserve it for the first
1, hours (i.e. 6-7:30) and the otFer team could reserve tt for the second
lk hours (i.e. 7:30-9).
A team can reserve a field for 2 hours at a shot on weekends.
A team is allowed 2 permits per week (M-F) and an additional permit for
weekends.
A team must reserve the field the week they're going to use it. (They can't
call in one week to reserve a field for the next week.)
3. No
4. Tournaments - we do allaw outsiders to hold tournaments on our fields. We
Mave prepared a fee paper with a breakdown of what we char9e various groups
for holding a tournament.
An outside group pays qutte a lot (so much per field per day.) Local groups
pay much less (i.e. the Jaycees had a tournament for a fund raiser and we
onty charged them for the Dases.)
5. No, but it's sametM ng I want to bring up to our commission at our nezt meeting. -
We haven't Aad any problems witb damages so that's why we haven't requlrod a
demege deposit.
7. No clean up fee. We haven't needed to require this, but I plen to bring this
up also at our nexi commission meeting.
8. PoHcy attaehed.
9. Mould like a eopy of the results.
