CITY: Woodbury
CONTACT: Gretchen Blank
DATE: September 6> 1979
PHONE: 739-5972
1. Ball fields (all athletic fields - soccer, football, softball) we
have one park with a building that we rent out on a permit basis, for
large groups we issue permits for parks for picnics.
2. Ball fields - people can call in to reserve them.
Parks for picnics for large groups - we need a letter indicating:
1. How many people
2. When they want the park
3. Exactly what facilities they want
Each team is only allowed 2 permits/week. Each team is atlowed to
reserve fields two weeks in advance at most.
Residency Requirements
Ball fields - must be a team in our leagues or a team from a community
organization.
- whoever calis in for the reservation should be a resident.
Picnic areas - Resident groups are given priority.
in parks - But, non-resident groups are still allowed in.
3. Not at this time. We're considering charging fees for larger groups to
cover the cost of clean up.
4. No, we don't have any. The only tournament we have is run by the Jaycees
and they donate so much of the money they earn back to the community,
we don't charge them.
No other group has ever requested having a tournament here. So, the
question has never come up, so I don't knaw how we'd deal with it.
5. No.
6. Beer permit. Whoever is selling Lhe beer must get a beer permit. This
beer permit goes through the city clerk's office. (i.e. community groups
who want to sell beer at the fourth of July festivities must obtatn a beer
permit.)
7. No, but we are considering a clean up fee. We haven't had the kind of
usage in our parks that other communities have had so it hasn't been
necessary. Just this past summer our parks have gotten the kind Of usay
that would warrant a damage deposit and a clean up fee, so now we sre
considering it.
8. Policy attached.
9. Yes.
