"Local parks or trails which connect with or otheraiae _ <br />affect regional, school district, br neighboring local parks or trails, - <br />including a description of where the link is located and the nature of '= <br />the relationchip to the other jutisdiction's facility." <br />This guideline essentially sequests •the following information: <br />a. A map identiEqing all local, regional or school district recreation . <br />open space facilities.(parks and trails) within the limi.ts of the � <br />. coumomity. The map should cleaxly indicate physical links (trails ' <br />or co�on botmdaries) between parks. <br />b. The "nature of the relationskip to the other jurisdiction's - <br />facility" could include one or several of the following items: <br />- The use oE a neighboring co�unity's park hy your coarmunity's <br />residents through joint agreement between the co�unities, <br />Please give conditions of the agreement. <br />- The use of the school diatrict's playgrovnd, athletic field, �`�� ��� <br />etc. by your coffi:unity recreation department imder agreement �� <br />between the school district and the recreation department. <br />Please give the conditions of the agreeaent. <br />- The neighboring co�ity provides a speical recreation facility <br />(e.g.. ice arena, swiaming pool, etc.) which is available £or <br />uae by qour cov�unity's residents. <br />Guideline 4. "Indicate if any regional parks will be used as part of <br />the local park system.and the function the regional park will need to <br />serve ia the local system." r - <br />Appendix F. indicates the uses (functions) o£ local parks (mini-parks, }' <br />neighborhood park playgrounds, co�imity playfield and conmmnity gark) <br />and regional parks (parks and park reserves). Please note that a regional . <br />park and pazk reaerva and covmunity park have aimilar usea (funetiona). `;' <br />These uees are walking (hiking), picnick2ng, and nature interpreGation. <br />Sai�ing, boating and fishing uaes may also be offered in those parks <br />having aecess to water bodies large enough to aupport these activities. <br />Tha oommunity park di££ers from the regional park/park reaerve in tha .�, ' <br />Yize of its aervice area, and Che fact that a coa¢nuciity park can pro- <br />vide fi61d and court games.
