Park and Recreation Commission Meeting <br /> Page 3 <br /> October 22, 1981 <br /> • <br /> LAMBERT PARK Commissioner Scott suggested that NSP be called to request the <br /> SHELTER BUILDING changing of the gas line at Lambert Park to accomodate the new <br /> (cont. ) building. <br /> YOUTH ATHLETIC Discussion of the Youth Athletic League Policy report expressed <br /> LEAGUE POLICY futuristic needs and interests for the direction of "play" for <br /> the youth of the City. The Commission approved the proposed <br /> "memorandum" in concept and directed staff to solicit input <br /> from the volunteer coaches and report back at the November <br /> meeting. <br /> PARK ORDINANCE Chairperson Burmeister opened discussion of the Park Ordinance <br /> CHAPTER 52 <br /> proposals: <br /> 1111 Recommended changes are; 52. 11 to include: "unless authorized <br /> by the Parks and Recreation Department". <br /> 52. 13 to include: "except as authorized <br /> by permit by the City Council . " <br /> Chairman Burmeister moved approval with these additions of the <br /> proposed Park Ordinances . Donna Bowman seconded the motion . <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> 8 ayes <br /> 0 nayes <br /> Jerry Linke suggested that the Commission express concern to <br /> the City Council for the opportunity for beer permits for special <br /> athletic functions , such as softball tournaments. <br />
