Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> . + Minutes <br /> Page two <br /> March 25 , 1982. <br /> • <br /> The motion was seconded by Chairperson Wayne <br /> Burmeister . The motion passes unanimously. <br /> 5 ayes - 0 nays <br /> CLOSED SCHOOLS Impact on Community Usage - Director Anderson reviewed <br /> the Community Education Advisory Council report which <br /> recommended that one of the two closed secondary <br /> schools remain open as a Resource Center. <br /> Staff further stated that April 12 is when the final <br /> School Board decision would be made regarding the <br /> status of Edgewood . <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Donna Bowman and <br /> seconded by Commissioner Marilynne Dennehy to <br /> accept the Advisory Council report and forward it <br /> on to the School Board . <br /> The motion passed unanimously - 5 ayes - 0 nays <br /> LAKESIDE PARK Commissioner Donna Bowman stated that the Lakeside <br /> UPDATE Park Commission currently had a vacancy for a <br /> 1111 commissioner. The Commission requested staff to <br /> provide an update on Lakeside Park at every <br /> Parks and Recreation Commission meeting . <br /> STAFF REPORT Director Anderson thanked the Commission for their <br /> thoughtfulness and stated that Erica was born March 4, <br /> 1982 and everyone was fine. <br /> Staff further reported that the adult softball <br /> registration had gone very well even with the <br /> increased player eligibility restrictions . <br /> Staff concluded by reporting that the new mimeograph <br /> equipment had been purchased and was working well . <br /> ADJOURNMENT A motion to adjourn was made by Commision Frank <br /> Silvis and seconded by Commissioner Donna Bowman. <br /> The motion passed unanimously. 5 ayes - 0 nays <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8 : 50 p .m . <br /> : -s •ectfully s s ted, <br /> / ,�•✓/� ' ate/ <br /> :ruce K.
