MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE AND RECREATION COMMISSION SPARKS CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA April 22 , 1982 Mounds View City Hall Council Chambers 6 : 00 p .m. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Wayne Burmeister at 6 : 00 p .m. ROLL CALL: Commissioners present : Chairperson Wayne Burmeister, Commissioners Donna Bowman , Marilynne Dennehy, Frank Silvis , Wayne Weflen and Cindy Wermager . Commissioners absent : Ed Letendre Councilmember present : Willard Doty Staff present : Director Anderson and Program Supervisor Saarion. 4110 Vistors present : Gerald Sunde , Hydrologist gist TOUR OF SILVER The Commission went on a walking tour of Silver VIEW View Park to view first-hand the development and review the revised pond structure with Hydrologist Sunde . Upon returning to City Hall , Commissioner Frank Silvis made a motion to accept the revised plan of the pond at Silver View Park as proposed by Hydrologist Sunde . The motion was seconded by Commissioner Bowman. The motion passed unanimously. 6 ayes - 0 nays CITY WIDE TREE Director Anderson apprised the Commission of the PLANTING PROGRAM major tree planting program scheduled for the coming months and requested commission input re- garding planting plan approval . It was the opinion of the Commissioners that the Parks and Recreation Director and City Forester should use their own discretion as to the locations of tree plantings . The commission did not feel they had to be consulted but did request a monthly update as to Forestry operations . S Staff then reminded the Commission of the Arbor Day tree planting set for May 8 , 1982 . SUMMER PROGRAM Program Supervisor Saarion reviewed the Summer activities program and responded to any questions the Commission had .
