Park and Recreation Commission Minutes <br /> June 23 , 1983. <br /> Page three <br /> 2 . Program update - Staff indicated that the <br /> summer programs had been going extremely <br /> well and that the July-August Newsletter <br /> would be delivered to the homes in the <br /> next week. <br /> 3. Airport update - Staff indicated that on <br /> Tuesday, June 28 , there would be hearing on <br /> a master airport plan at Spring Lake Park <br /> High School . Councilman Doty outlined the <br /> progress that had been made to date and stated <br /> that it had been a long process in reviewing <br /> the airport master plan that would probably <br /> end up at the Supreme Court level . <br /> 4 . Super deck - Staff showed an example of Super <br /> Deck that is manufactured by a local manu- <br /> facturing company and could potentially be <br /> used a Silver View Park on the south side <br /> of the pond in the low marshy area . The <br /> Park Commission indicated that at a cost <br /> $140. 00 - $300. 00 for a 5 foot section , it <br /> appeared to be exhorbitant at this time . <br /> 5. Police Chief - Staff indicated that formal <br /> interview dates had been set by the Police <br /> Civil Service Commission for July 6 and 7 . <br /> IFADJOURMENT A motion was made by Commission Wermager, seconded <br /> by Commissioner Weflen to adjourn the Parks and <br /> Recreation Commission meeting at 8: 20 p.m. The <br /> motion passed unanimously. <br /> 4 ayes <br /> 0 nayes <br /> : - pe fully s bm' . ✓ed , <br /> Bruce K. ,ode son Director <br /> Parks, Recreation an Forestry <br /> BKA/s l l <br /> 4 <br />
