In addition, <br />stafE indicated Chat other industries and ayencies <br />would be contacted and pursued to expantl industrial <br />and commercial involvement in the establishment and <br />development of our local park system. <br />The Park Commission responded to the nine initial <br />questions and began establishing a preliminary phi- <br />losophy for the distribution and dissemination oE <br />park planning monies. The general concen5us of. the <br />Park Commission was to use the Eund as a partial <br />Eunding source for local neighborhood park <br />development; to encouraye involvement of both <br />monetary and inkintl services at the local <br />neighborhood oc ycass root level. To that end, the <br />Park Commission intlicated that priori.ties should be <br />esCablished on both a short and long range basis <br />with applica[ions being accepted a[ any[ime <br />throughout the year. I[ was Eurther stated that <br />all yrojects woultl need to comply with the City <br />mastec parks and open space plan with <br />recommendations being formally approved by the City <br />Council based on recommendations from the Paqw arid <br />ReCreation Commissi.nn..
