• <br /> MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br /> PARKS AND RECRnATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> • STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> September 26 , 1985 <br /> Mounds View City Hall <br /> Council Chambers <br /> 6 : 30 p.m. <br /> CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by <br /> Chairperson Wayne Burmeister at 6 : 33 <br /> p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Chairperson <br /> Burmeister, Commissioners Silvis , <br /> Weflen, Linnell , Wuori and Long. <br /> Commissioners absent: Commissioner <br /> Letendre . <br /> Councilmembers present: Councilmember <br /> Quick <br /> Staff present : Parks and Recreation <br /> Director Anderson , and Program Supervis- <br /> or Saarion. <br /> Burmeister indicated• that he CHAIRPERSON 'S REPORT Chairperson <br /> had observed a vehicle leaving Silver <br /> View Park at a high rate of speed on <br /> Tuesday evening and subsequently ob- <br /> served damage to the turf and trees at <br /> Silver View Park. He forwarded the <br /> information to staff , who indicated that <br /> it would be passed on to the City Police <br /> Department. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER' S REPORT Councilmember Quick indicated that the <br /> City Council adopted seven resolutions <br /> in the process of formally adopting the <br /> 1986 budget which maintained the same <br /> mill rate levy as 1985. He also indi- <br /> cated that a major sub-division had been <br /> approved at 8085 Woodlawn, which would <br /> provide the City with some park dedica- <br /> tion fees. <br /> FALL RECREATION <br /> PROGRAMS Program Supervisor Saarion distributed a <br /> variety of handouts, promoting recrea- <br /> tion programs, program participation <br /> numbers and related program flyers. <br /> Specific items that were discussed <br /> • included the fall softball program, and <br /> an exercise for seniors program seminar <br /> she attended on September 23 . <br />
