<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6139 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO POST FOR <br />AN INTERNAL PROMOTION TO THE POSITION OF POLICE SERGEANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, one of the current Police Sergeants has announced his <br />retirement to be effective January 31,2004, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the police Sergeant position is an essential position within the <br />Police Department, and having a replacement Sergeant in place at the time of <br />retirement is necessary to maintain continuity of Police services, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Sergeant position shall be filled by an internal <br />promotion of an existing police officer with a minimum of five years experience. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve posting an opening for an internal promotion to Sergeant within <br />the Police Department in accord with Police Civil Service Rules. <br /> <br />Adopted this 24th day of November 2003. <br /> <br /> <br />ATIEST: <br /> <br />~bL& <br /> <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Admini"strator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
