<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6161 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING A CONTRACT AWARD TO BONESTROO, ROSENE, <br />ANDERLlK, AND ASSOCIATES (BRAA) TO ASSIST THE CITY IN <br />CONDUCTING A WATER VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT AND UPDATING <br />THE EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 12, 2002, the Public Health Security and <br />Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act became law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said legislation, enforced by the United States Environmental <br />Protection Agency (USEPA), requires all community water systems serving more <br />than 3,300 people to conduct a Vulnerability Assessment and to update their <br />Emergency Response Plan (ERP); and <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff contacted several firms that specialize in this activity; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending approval of a contract with BRAA to <br />assist the City in conducting a Water Vulnerability Assessment and updating the <br />Emergency Response Plan in the amount of $12,400; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the approved 2004 Enterprise Fund, Water Infrastructure & <br />Equipment Department, Professional Service Account (Account 700-4823-3030) <br />has $12,000.00 budgeted for this project. Any overrun, if encountered, will be <br />derived from the Water Infrastructure & Equipment Department Contingency <br />Account (700-4823-9100). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Mounds View City Council approves a contract with Bonestroo, <br />Rosene, Anderlik, and Associates (BRAA) in the amount of $12,400 to <br />assist the City in Conducting a Water Vulnerability Assessment and <br />Updating the Emergency Response Plan. <br /> <br />2. The Mayor and City Administrator are approved to execute any and all <br />necessary contracts. <br />
