RESOLUTION NO. 8317 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NEW CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> "SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT STANDARDS" DOCUMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff to work with Ramsey County to update <br /> the City's garbage and recycling code, policies and procedures; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council at the September work session reviewed draft revisions <br /> to Chapter 603 of the City Code and a draft "Solid Waste Management Standards" <br /> document; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Management Standards are intended to provide <br /> greater detail and specific requirements relating to garbage and recycling collection in the <br /> City of Mounds View; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the goals of the "Standards" are to achieve a reduction in waste <br /> generated, encourage greater collection of recyclables, enhance participation among multi- <br /> family, commercial and industrial properties, promote best management practices, and <br /> ensure consistency with State and County laws, rules and ordinances. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council <br /> approves the City of Mounds View "Solid Waste Management Standards" document as <br /> attached. <br /> Adopted this 27th day of October, 2014. <br /> .e FI'erty, ' ayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> , <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
