<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6194 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE TWIN <br />CITIES NORTH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO ALLOW CHARITABLE <br />GAMBLING AT JAKE'S SPORTS CAFE IN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires local units of <br />government to pass a resolution specifically approving or denying Lawful <br />Gambling License Applications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View approved on February 11, 2002 a <br />resolution to allow for the New Brighton-Mounds View Chamber of Commerce to <br />conduct charitable gambling at Jake's in the City of Mounds View; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board approved the Lawful Gambling <br />License for the Mounds View site with a beginning date of June 1, 2002; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the New Brighton-Mounds View Chamber of Commerce and <br />the Southern Anoka County Chamber of Commerce officially merged on July 23, <br />2002, and continued the charitable gambling operations at both Jake's locations; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Twin Cities North Chamber's license renewal application <br />is due to the State of Minnesota by April 1, 2004; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce is in <br />compliance with all charitable gambling requirements of Ordinance 691, which <br />became effective March 9, 2002; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby approve the renewal of the license application for charitable <br />gambling at Jake's Sports Cafe in the City of Mounds View to the Twin Cities <br />North Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of February 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />(ATTEST) <br /> <br />Je~'~ua <br /> <br />Kurt Ulrich <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
