RESOLUTION NO. 8321 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO <br /> LINDA MEYER, MOUNDS VIEW POLICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST <br /> WHEREAS, Linda Meyer submitted her resignation for retirement and her last day of <br /> employment was October 31, 2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused sick leave time is 607.05 hours; and <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation is 394.46 hours; and <br /> WHEREAS, Linda Meyers's current rate of pay is $26.66 per hour; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual, Linda <br /> Meyer is qualified to contribute 1,400 sick hours to her Retirement Health Savings Plan(RHSP);and <br /> WHEREAS, from 2008 to present, has contributed 725.52 sick hours to her RHSP; and <br /> WHEREAS, due to the base cap on sick hours contributed to the RHSP, Ms. Meyer is <br /> allowed to contribute a maximum of 607.05 sick hours into her plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual, the <br /> maximum potential payout of accrued/unused sick time will be 607.05 hours x 65%x her hourly rate <br /> of$26.66 = $10,519.57 into Linda Meyer's RHSP; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 3.45 and 3.47 of the Mounds View Personnel <br /> Manual, the maximum potential payout of accrued/unused vacation time will be 394.46 hours x her <br /> hourly rate of$26.66= $10,516.30 to her RHSP; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3.47 of the Personnel Manual, the maximum <br /> potential cash payout of unused compensatory time will be 9 hours x her hourly rate of$26.66 = <br /> $239.94. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a <br /> one-time payout of sick time not to exceed $10,519.57 into Linda Meyers's RHSP in accordance <br /> with Section 3.45 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approves a one- <br /> time payout of vacation time not to exceed $10,516.30 to her RHSP in accordance with Section <br /> 3.45 and 3.47 of the Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> NOW BE IT EVEN FURTHER RESOLVED that a one-time cash payout of compensatory <br /> time not to exceed $239.94 to Linda Meyer in accordance with Section 3.47 of the Mounds View <br /> Personnel Manual. <br />
