RESOLUTION NO. 6203 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A SITE PLAN, CONSTRUCTION PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND CONSULTANT SELECTION FOR THE GROVELAND PARK SHELTER BUILDING REPLACEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, approximately twenty years ago, the City purchased four (4) temporary schoolroom buildings to be relocated within City Parks; and WHEREAS, in the summer and fall of 2003 the Parks and Recreation Commissioners performed a "Parks Needs Analysis"; and WHEREAS, the Groveland building was found to be in poor condition, suffering from decay and mold problems; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commissioners recommended that the Groveland Park shelter building be replaced with the planning stage beginning in 2004 and construction in 2005 and; WHEREAS, the estimated cost of $3,000 to $5,000, the site plan, constructions plans, and specifications will be derived from the Park Dedication Fund of the 2004 budget (Account No. 285-4470-3030); and WHEREAS, Staff recommends that the Council retain the services of the engineering firm of TKDA to assist in the preparation of the plans and specifications and other aspects of this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. Said improvements shall hereafter be known and referred to as the Groveland Park Shelter Building Replacement Project. 2. That the preparation of the site plans, construction plans, and specifications for the Groveland Park Shelter Building Replacement Project is hereby authorized. 3. The services the engineering firm of TKDA shall be retained to assist in the preparation of the site plans, construction plans, specifications, and any other planning phase aspects of this project, as directed by City Council.
