<br />RESOLUTION NO. 6204 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING PREVIOUS RESOLUTION 6173 TO PROVIDE FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF FOUR NEW AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC DEBIBRILLA TORS FOR THE <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 26, 2004 the Mounds View City Council approved resolution <br />6173 approving the purchase of four Automatic External Defibrillators for the police <br />department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a combination of credit for a grant through the American Heart <br />Association, and trade-in credit for four existing AED units was to be applied to the purchase <br />cost; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, updated invoicing was generated allowing the city to exercise the option <br />to retain ownership of the four current AED units; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the updated pricing and credits formula resulted in a change in the <br />. original purchase estimate, which now requires an additional amount be expended to cover <br />the cost of purchase for four new AED's; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the additional funds are available within the police forfeiture fund. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota authorizes the purchase of four new AED's by the police <br />department. The purchase cost of $8065.64 will be covered by applying $4032.82 from an <br />AHA grant, $1186.64 from the manufacture's "trade-up" promotion, $1242.00 in accrued <br />interest from the police grants fund, and approximately $1605.00 from the police forfeiture <br />fund. <br /> <br />Adopted this 8th day of March 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />~.. c;;, LS) <br /> <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(seal) <br />
