RESOLUTION NO. 8332 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE HIRING OF JENNIFER FULTON TO THE POSITION OF <br /> POLICE SUPPORT SPECIALIST <br /> WHEREAS, the police support specialist oversees the administrative functions of the <br /> police department focusing on maintaining all police records, reports and documents; and <br /> WHEREAS, the police support specialist serves as the initial point of contact for the <br /> general public when requesting service in person or phone and also serves as the Terminal <br /> Agency Coordinator (TAC) for state and federal compliance with criminal justice records <br /> management; and <br /> WHEREAS, the police support specialist position became vacant due to the <br /> retirement of Linda Meyer on October 31, 2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, the candidates were evaluated on training and experience, an oral <br /> interview and a complete background investigation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the police civil service commission certified the top three names on the <br /> eligibility list and recommended candidate Jennifer Fulton be hired as the police support <br /> specialist; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff on the police department, including the police chief, have met with <br /> Jennifer Fulton and recommend that she be appointed to the position of police support <br /> specialist. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br /> View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to approve the hiring of Jennifer Fulton to the position of <br /> police support specialist at the step one starting wage of$21.33/hour (2014 rate) with an <br /> effective date of December 15, 2014. <br /> Adopted this 8th day of December 2014. <br /> oe Flaherty, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: j ki/ \.
