<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6264 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ENTER INTO A PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT TO ACCQUIRE THE COMMERCIAL PROPERTY AT 2525 ON <br />COUNTY HIGHWAY 10 IN MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parcel located at 2525 County Highway 10, improved with <br />the Gas & Wash fuel station and convenience store, has recently become <br />available on the market; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the one acre parcel is located at the intersection of county <br />Road 10 and Long Lake Road and is zoned B-3, Highway Business Commercial; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City currently owns approximately 15.5 acres of land <br />adjacent to 2525 County Highway 10 and has improved upon said land its City <br />Hall, public works shop, water tower, water treatment facility, and other facilities; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed use of the subject property would be to facilitate <br />the redevelopment of this visible corner lot; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 26, 2004 the Mounds View EDA authorized <br />preparation of an appraisal of the site which has a market value of $606,900 <br />according to the Ramsey County Assessor's Office; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 19, 2004, the Mounds View Planning Commission <br />found the proposed redevelopment to be consistent with the City's <br />comprehensive plan, and recommended to the City Council the acquisition of <br />2525 County Highway 10; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, consistent with the authority to acquire, develop and <br />redevelop real property within the City provided to the City and the EDA by <br />Mounds View City Charter Sections 1.02 (Powers of the City),1.03 (Charter a <br />Public Act), 9.01 (Acquisition of Property) and 12.05 (Sale of Real Property), <br />Minnesota Statutes Chapter 410 (Charters) and Minnesota Statutes Sections <br />469.090 through 469.123 (Economic Development Authorities) (in particular, <br />Minnesota Statutes Section 469.101, subdivisions 2, 5, 9, 10 17, and 18), the <br />City has determined that it is in the public interest and find that a public purpose <br />exists as stated herein and above for the promotion and facilitation of the <br />
