<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6268 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE 2003 STREET <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6201 adopted by the City Council on <br />March 22, 2004 sealed bids were received and tabulated on April 22, 2004, at 10 a.m. <br />for the 2003 Street Improvement Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the low responsive bid was received from Hardrives Incorporated <br />with a Base Bid of $1,574,804.21, and a Bid Alternate NO.1 of $40,234.05 for the <br />Groveland Road Sidewalk, and a Bid Alternate NO.2 of $99,965.25 for the Lakeside <br />Lions Park Parking Lot Reconstruction. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the Base Bid of Hardrives, Incorporated in the amount of <br />$1,574,804.21 for the 2003 Street Improvement Project is the lowest <br />responsive bid. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That a contract to perform said work is awarded to Hardrives, Incorporated <br />and that the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with said bidder. <br /> <br />3. The Public Works Department is authorized and directed to return the <br />deposit made for said bids, except the deposit of the successful bidder, <br />which shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />OPTIONAL: BID ALTERNATE NO.1 - CITY COUNCIL TO ELECT AWARD <br /> <br />4. That a contract to perform Bid Alternate NO.1 in the amount of $40,234.05 <br />for the Groveland Road Sidewalk is hereby awarded to Hardrives, <br />Incorporated that the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder. <br /> <br />OPTIONAL: BID ALTERNATE NO.2 - CITY COUNCIL TO ELECT AWARD <br /> <br />5. That a contract to perform Bid Alternate NO.2 in the amount of $99,965.25 <br />for the Lakeside Lions Park Parking Lot Reconstruction is hereby awarded <br />to Hardrives, Incorporated and that the Mayor and City Administrator are <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder. <br />
