As the community becomes fully developed the need for redevelopment <br /> becomes more apparent. Accordingly, staff is seeking the Commission's perspective on <br /> two issues. First, What are the redevelopment priorities within Mounds View? Second, <br /> What tools should the EDA utilize to effectuate redevelopment? <br /> What are the redevelopment priorities in Mounds View? <br /> • <br /> While a myriad of opportunities exist for redevelopment, six are currently being <br /> presented for the Commission's consideration and prioritization. The redevelopment <br /> opportunities currently presented for your consideration include: <br /> Redevelopment Opportunity#1: Herbst and Pettibone <br /> Redevelopment Opportunity#2: Everest County Highway 10 Properties <br /> Redevelopment Opportunity#3: Network Liquors <br /> Redevelopment Opportunity#4: Skyline Motel <br /> Redevelopment Opportunity#5: Groveland and County Highway 10 <br /> Redevelopment Opportunity#6: Silver Lake Road and County Highway 10 <br /> From staff's perspective, the above represent potential projects that are both financially <br /> feasible and pressing community concerns. A profile of each of the above has been <br /> attached for your reference. In addition, it must be noted that the aforementioned <br /> redevelopment opportunities are conceptual at this point. Additional deliberation and <br /> circumstance will be considered as potential projects are further refined. Finally, since <br /> we are at the conceptual stage at this point, any suggested modifications to the above, <br /> or additional projects to consider are greatly appreciated. <br /> What Tools Should the EDA Use to Effectuate Redevelopment? <br /> 1110 In the past, Mounds View has been moderately active in the area of redevelopment. <br /> However, as the City continues to age, it will be necessary to become more aggressive <br />
