<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6287 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Approving Intent to Eliminate <br />School Coordinator Funding from the 2005 Budget <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Over the past several years, the City has contributed approximately $7,500 per <br />year toward a School Coordinator position; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Council and the YMCA Advisory Committee have reviewed <br />the School Coordinator fees in detail and concluded that the City recreational programs do <br />not directly benefit: and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is recognized that both the basketball association and the swim club provide <br />valuable recreational opportunities for Mounds View youth, but that the City itself is facing a <br />severe budget cut backs in 2005 and has a need to look at budget reductions: and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, youth athletic groups have been notified that the Council is considering this item <br />at this time and will have an opportunity to plan for the potential 2005 impact. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby <br />approve Resolution 6287, that it is the intent of the City to eliminate funding of the School <br />Coordinator fee from the General Fund budget in 2005. <br /> <br />Adopted this 28th day of June 2004. <br /> <br />(ATTEST) <br /> <br /> <br />City Clerk/Administrator <br /> <br />(SEAL) <br />
