The Pharmacy is proposed on the site of the former Amoco Gas
Station. Ramsey County has the following comments regarding this proposal.
1. The site was previously a retail/gas station use. The new development will be a
• retail/drugstore. The adjacent roadways of Highway 10 and Silver Lake Road should
be able to accommodate traffic generated by the site. The County does have plans to
improve intersections along Highway 10 in the next several years. Silver Lake Road
will likely have minor geometric improvements as part of these projects.
2. The county will allow a single access point onto Highway 10. We are in support of
. moving the access farther away from Silver Lake Road. The existing access shall be
removed. The shoulder on Highway 10 shall be re-striped to provide a right turn lane
into the new access. This right turn lane shall be upstream from the right turn lane to
Silver Lake Road. The county will require that a striping plan be provided by the
developer prior to approval of the project.
3. The County will allow a single access point on Silver Lake Road. We are in support
of aligning this access across from the access to the Holiday Station.
4. Please contact Bob Vezina, 651-248-0453,to coordinate the permit application for the
site. The permit is required for all work within the County right of way.
Thanks for the opportunity to make comments regarding this issue. If you have any
questions or need any additional information please give me a call.
IIICc: Jim Ericson—City of Mounds View
Minnesota's First Home Rule County
printed on recycled paper with a minimum of 10%post-consumer content
Hc
