The Economic Development Commission is referred to herein as the "Commission". <br /> (Ord. 542,6-27-94) <br /> 408.02: PURPOSE: The Commission shall serve as an advisory commission to the <br /> Economic Development Authority, hereinafter the "Authority", on matters relating to fostering a <br /> positive economic climate, encouraging economic development and enhancing the tax base of the <br /> City. The Commission shall also make recommendations to the Authority regarding retention and <br /> expansion of existing businesses, attraction of desirable new businesses, redevelopment and <br /> rehabilitation opportunities, and other appropriate economic development strategies.
