RESOLUTION NO. 6314 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA APPROVING THE DRAFT FEASIBILITY REPORT, WAIVING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT HEARING, ORDERING THE PROJECT AND AWARDING THE EXCAVATION CONTRACT FOR THE SILVER VIEW SEDIMENTATION POND PROJECT WHEREAS, on July 14, 2003, the City Council authorized the preparation of a preliminary feasibility report for the Silver View Park Sedimentation Pond Project; and WHEREAS, based on the Council's authorization, a draft preliminary report has been prepared by the engineering firm of SEH; based upon this analysis, Staff feels the project is physically and financially feasible; and WHEREAS, financing for the Silver View Sedimentation Pond Project will be derived entirely from the City of Mounds View Storm Water Utility Fund; because assessments are not a funding source, Staff is requesting that the public improvement hearing be waived; and WHEREAS, should the Council wish to proceed with this project, the next step in the public improvement process is to order the project; and WHEREAS, a total of eight (8) quotes were solicited for this project and two responses received; and WHEREAS, the low quote was received from Sauter & Sons in the amount of $27,500. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: 1. The preliminary report, which was prepared pursuant to Resolution 6051 for the Silver View Sedimentation Pond Project, finds the improvements to be necessary, cost effective and feasible and is hereby approved. 2. Said improvements are hereby ordered and shall hereafter be known and referred to as the Silver View Sedimentation Pond Project. Said ordering of the improvements shall be valid for a
