<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6314 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPROVING THE DRAFT FEASIBILITY REPORT, WAIVING THE PUBLIC <br />IMPROVEMENT HEARING, ORDERING THE PROJECT AND AWARDING <br />THE EXCAVATION CONTRACT FOR THE SILVER VIEW SEDIMENTATION <br />POND PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 14, 2003, the City Council authorized the preparation <br />of a preliminary feasibility report for the Silver View Park Sedimentation Pond <br />Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Council's authorization, a draft preliminary <br />report has been prepared by the engineering firm of SEH; based upon this <br />analysis, Staff feels the project is physically and financially feasible; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, financing for the Silver View Sedimentation Pond Project will <br />be derived entirely from the City of Mounds View Storm Water Utility Fund; <br />because assessments are not a funding source, Staff is requesting that the <br />public improvement hearing be waived; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, should the Council wish to proceed with this project, the next <br />step in the public improvement process is to order the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a total of eight (8) quotes were solicited for this project and <br />two responses received; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the low quote was received from Sauter & Sons in the <br />amount of $27,500. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br />of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. The preliminary report, which was prepared pursuant to Resolution <br />6051 for the Silver View Sedimentation Pond Project, finds the <br />improvements to be necessary, cost effective and feasible and is <br />hereby approved. <br /> <br />2. Said improvements are hereby ordered and shall hereafter be <br />known and referred to as the Silver View Sedimentation Pond <br />Project. Said ordering of the improvements shall be valid for a <br />
