<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 6317 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLl1TION AUTHORIZING THE MOUNDS VIE\V POLICE DEP ARTME~T TO <br />PARTNER \VITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT IN <br />PURSUING A GRANT L~DER THE SAFE AND SOBER PROGRAM <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety is seeking proposals from law enforcement <br />agencies to conduct highly publicized, overtime enforcement projects addressing traffic safety <br />issues; and, <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, the Mounds View. Police Department has approached the White Bear Lake <br />Police Depm1ment inviting them to participate in this grant proposaL and, <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, if successful in receiving an avvard, Mounds View will act as the lead <br />agency, and all personnel costs incuned through safe and sober enforcement efforts \vill be <br />reimbursed to the City of Mounds View; and, <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, all allocated manpower resources will be on a volunteer basis, and will be <br />on an officers scheduled time off. <br /> <br />NO\V, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby authorize staff to partner with the White Bear Lake Police Department in applying for a grant <br />under the Safe and Sober grant program. <br /> <br />Adopted this 26th day ofJuly, 2004 <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br />oJI1/ ~ <br /> <br />Mike Sommer, Actin::cro City :lerk / <br />Administrator .
