RESOLUTION 8380 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE ADDITIONAL DESIGN SERVICES, BIDDING DOCUMENTS AND <br /> AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE 2015 MASONRY RESTORATION A <br /> THE GROUND RESERVOIR, BOOSTER STATION, AND WELL HOUSE NO. 2 <br /> WHEREAS, the City owns sixteen separate facilities; all of which were inspected and <br /> evaluated in 2012 and summarized in an Exterior Wall Management Program put together by <br /> INSPEC, Inc.; and <br /> WHEREAS, the masonry restoration of the Ground Reservoir, Booster Station, and Well <br /> House No. 2 are recommended in the Exterior Wall Management Program; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 23, 2013, the City Council authorized INSPEC, Inc. to design <br /> and prepare bidding documents for the 2015 masonry restoration of said facilities (Res. 8158); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City requested changes to be made to the scope and design requiring <br /> an additional $4,800 with the potential ad of $3,000 for hazardous waste sub-consultant <br /> services; and, <br /> WHEREAS, monies are included in the 2015 budget for the above said masonry <br /> restoration. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br /> Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The updated bidding documents, plans and specifications prepared by INSPEC, Inc. for the <br /> 2015 Masonry Restoration of the Ground Reservoir, Booster Station & Well House No. 2 <br /> Project (City Project No. 2015-0O2) are hereby approved. <br /> 2. Staff is hereby directed to cause to be published in the Sun-Focus newspaper and in a <br /> regional trade publication, at least three weeks before the last day to submit bids, a notice to <br /> bidders for the implementation of said project as required by law. <br /> 3. The time and date for receipt of bids for said project is hereby established as 10:00 a.m. on <br /> March 31, 2015 in the Council Chambers at the Mounds View City Hall. <br /> 4. INSPEC, Inc. is authorized to perform bidding services and additional design services <br /> associated with the project for an amount not to exceed $7,800. <br /> 5. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br /> appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this Resolution. <br /> 6. The Mayor and City Administrator, staff and consultants are hereby authorized and <br /> directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or convenient in <br /> order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br /> 457338v2 SJR MU125-11 <br />
