<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6398 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />WAIVING THE PUBLIC HEARING, ORDERING THE PROJECT, <br />AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF AND APPROVAL OF PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS, AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE <br />2004 WELL REHABILITATION PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN SAID CONTRACT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City established a maintenance program whereby <br />the City's wells would be evaluated and rehabilitated on a seven-year cycle; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Well Numbers 3 and 5 were last rehabilitated in 1997; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff has prepared plans and specifications that meet <br />the City of Mounds View's standards and are consistent with specifications <br />utilized for other recent well rehabilitation projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends that two wells be rehabilitated in <br />2004 and that funds for this well rehabilitation project be derived from the <br />Enterprise Fund, under the water infrastructure and equipment department, <br />system maintenance account (account 700-4823-5160); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, sealed bids were received and tabulated on November <br />17, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. for the 2004 Well Rehabilitation Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the low responsive and responsible bid was received <br />from E. H. Renner and Sons at their bid price of $44,893.80. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />1. Said improvements are hereby ordered and shall hereafter be <br />known and referred to as the 2004 Well Rehabilitation Project. <br />Said ordering of the improvements shall be valid for a period of <br />eighteen (18) months from the date of adoption of this resolution. <br /> <br />2. It is hereby ordered that the 2004 Well Rehabilitation Project shall <br />be made without a public hearing being that the entire cost of said <br />improvements shall be funded through the City of Mounds View <br />Enterprise Fund. <br />
