RESOLUTION NO. 8392 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR UTILITY <br /> VEHICLE AND EQUIPMENT SETUP COSTS <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department maintains a replacement <br /> schedule of police vehicles to ensure that the police department can provide reliable <br /> quality service to the community with a dependable fleet of police vehicles; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View Police Department planned and budgeted for the <br /> replacement of two squad cars in 2015 for a total budget of $65,000 with $26,000 <br /> designated for the Utility vehicle along with $10,000 in setup costs; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Nelson Auto Center in Fergus Falls has been awarded the state bid <br /> contract for the 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Police Utility vehicles at an approximate cost <br /> of $26,533, and, <br /> WHEREAS, a 2009 police squad car will be designated for sale at a future auction <br /> administered by the Admin Minnesota State Surplus Services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to authorize the purchase of one 2016 Ford <br /> Police Interceptor Utility vehicle at an approximate cost of $26,533 plus setup cost of <br /> approximately $9,400 and to sell one older Ford Crown Victoria squad car through the <br /> Admin Minnesota State Surplus Services Auction. <br /> Adopted this 13th day of April 2015. <br /> laherty,-Mayor <br /> ATTEST: JCvrt-C4, <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
