RESOLUTION NO. 5622 CITY OF MOUNDS VIE\V COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA ORDERING THE ABATEMENT OF HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS EXISTING AT 8217 LONG LAKE ROAD IN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIE\V WHEREAS, the Housing Inspector of the City of Mounds View has detel1nincd that the huilding at 8217 Long Lake Road in the City of Mounds View constitutes a hazardous building \vit11in the meaning of Minnesota Statutes, Section 463.15, Subd. 3; and WHEREAS, based on the investigation of the Housing Inspector it is recommended that the hazardous building hc razed and removed; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Scction 463.161 and Mounds View City Code Section 1005.16 authorize the governing body of any City or town to correct or remove thc hazardous condition of any hazardous building or property; );lOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds Vicw as follows: I. The City of Mounds View finds that the building located at 8217 Long Lake Road in the City of Mounds Vicw legally described in thc attached Abatemcnt Order is a hazardous building \vithin the meaning of Minncsota Statutes, Section 463.15, Subd. 3 and Mounds Vicw City Code Chapter 1005. 2. Thc hazardous building at the forcgoing address also constitutes a public nuisance within the meaning of Minnesota Statutes, Scction 561.01, 562.01. 3. An Abatcment Order substantially similar to that attached hereto as Exhibit "A" shall be served upon all required pm1ics in order to effectuate this resolution and remove the hazardous building on thc property. 4. Thc City Attorncy is authorized to take all neccssary legal steps to securc compliancc with the Ordcr and to obtain authority to rcmove thc hazardous building by court order or conscnt and asscss the costs thereof against the property.
