<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 5623 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING REPLACEMENT OF CARPET FOR THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, carpeting throughout the police department is worn and unsightly, and in need of <br />replacement; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, attempts to clean severely soiled areas has proven costly and unsatisfactory; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, replacement of carpet in the two areas most in need, the police squad room and break <br />area, was budgeted for 2001 at an amount of $4,400.00; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, replacement of adjoining areas was to be budgeted for and completed in subsequent <br />years; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to reduce work disruption as much as possible and ensure matching grade and <br />appearance of all carpeted areas, three bids for carpet replacement were obtained for the entire <br />area of the police department which is currently carpeted; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the lowest of the three bids was from Cooper Bennet Floors in New Brighton at an <br />estimated replacement cost of $6,421.32; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available within the police department's equipment account to <br />cover the additional cost to replace the carpeting throughout the police department; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of Mounds View <br />approves the replacement of all carpeting in the police department by Cooper Bennet Floors of <br />New Brighton at an estimated cost of $6,421.32. <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />SEA.L <br /> <br />Motion: QUICK <br /> <br />Second: THOMAS <br /> <br />Sonterre: <br />Stigney: <br />Quick: <br />Marty: <br />Thomas: <br /> <br />aye <br /> <br />nay <br /> <br />aye <br />aye <br />aye <br />
