RESOLUTION 8417 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT WITH ROSENQUIST CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE <br /> 2015 REROOFING OF WELL HOUSE NO. 2 AND THE BOOSTER STATION <br /> WHEREAS, the City established a roof management program for all municipal buildings, and park <br /> facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the roofing at Municipal Well No. 2 and the Booster Station is scheduled for <br /> replacement; and <br /> WHEREAS, Public Works worked with Inspec to prepare contract documents for the roof replacement <br /> work in accordance with industry standards, and solicited and received 2 quotes as follows: <br /> Rank Contractor Quote <br /> Low Rosenquist Construction, Inc. $71,960 <br /> 2 McPhillips Brothers Roofing $78,000 <br /> WHEREAS, Rosenquist Construction from Minneapolis, Minnesota submitted the lowest quote in <br /> the amount of$71,960; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff recommend approving a construction contract with Rosenquist Construction <br /> to perform the roof replacement work which is to include replacement of the drip edge at the Reservoir. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey <br /> County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> 1. The City hereby accepts the quote proposal for $71,960 submitted by Rosenquist Construction, <br /> Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota for the 2015 Reroofing of Well No. 2 and Booster Station (City <br /> Project No. 2013-004). <br /> 2. City Staff is authorized to prepare a construction contract agreement between the City of <br /> Mounds View and Rosenquist Construction, Inc. for $71,960. <br /> 3. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the <br /> City, to execute and enter into a construction contract agreement. <br /> 4. Inspec is authorized to perform construction inspection for the project for an estimated fee of <br /> $4,500. <br /> 5. Monies for the Project shall be funded by the Water Enterprise Fund (480-4823-7050).
