ORDINANCE 899 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1100, CHAPTERS 1102 AND 1106 <br /> OF THE MOUNDS VIEW ZONING CODE TO ALLOW COLUMBARIA <br /> AT RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS; <br /> SPECIAL PLANNING CASE 193-15 <br /> The City of Mounds View ordains: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title <br /> 1100, Chapter 1102.02 and Chapter 1106.03 of the Mounds View City Code by deleting <br /> the stricken language and adding the underlined text as follows: <br /> 1102.02: DEFINITIONS: The following words and terms, wherever they occur in this <br /> Code, shall be defined as follows: <br /> Subd. 17. COLUMBARIUM: A place for the usually public storage of urns holding a <br /> deceased's cremated remains. Columbaria can be either free standing units, or part of a <br /> mausoleum or another building. <br /> SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Mounds View hereby amends Title 1100 <br /> Chapter 1106.03 of the Mounds View City Code pertaining to "Accessory Uses" by <br /> deleting the stricken language and adding the underlined text as follows: <br /> 1106.03: ACCESSORY USES: The following are permitted accessory uses in an R-1 <br /> District: <br /> Subd. 8. Columbarium as an accessory use to a religious institution; subject to the <br /> following conditions: <br /> (a) The religious institution must own the property on which the columbarium is <br /> placed. <br /> (b) The exterior of the columbaria must be solid stone, stainless steel or <br /> aluminum. <br /> (c) The combined square footage of all accessory buildings, including <br /> columbaria, shall not exceed 1,800 square feet. <br />
