Zoning Map <br />2. Proposed Subdivision Plan, date stamped Sept 21,2001 <br />3. Planning Commission Minutes, October 17,2001 <br />4. Resolution 678-01 <br />5. Applicant's Appeal, dated November 13, 2001 <br />6. Staff Report, dated December 3, 2001 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of the variance provision in the Zoning Code is to give <br />relief to property owners when the strict enforcement of the code requirements imposes <br />a hardship thereby restricting the improvement of property due to substantial practical <br />difficulties brought about by unique or extraordinary features of the physical property <br />that are beyond the property owner's control; and, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View does hereby uphold the decision of the Mounds View Planning <br />Commission to deny Mr. Harstad's variance request for ten reduced-width lots <br />associated with the proposed Longview Estates major subdivision due to a lack of <br />demonstrated hardship, citing by reference the same findings presented in Planning <br />Commission Resolution 678-01 . <br /> <br />Adopted this 7th day of January, 2002. <br /> <br />40~ ."~::~:~)~?:~<;,~,_. ,.,__ <br /> <br />Rich Santerre, Mayo-r: <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />'.
