<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Resolution 5663 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />FIRE FIGHTER DECLARATION FOR THE <br />HOUSING/CODE ENFORCEMENT INSPECTOR POSITION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the policy of the State of Minnesota as declared in Minnesota <br />Statutes 353.63 is to give special consideration to employees who perform hazardous <br />work and devote their time and skills to protecting the property and personal safety of <br />others; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 353.64 permits governmental <br />subdivisions to request coverage in the Public Employees Police and Fire plan for a <br />non-full-time fire fighter provided the fire service position regularly engages the <br />employee in the hazards of fire fighting. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />hereby declares that the position titled Housing/Code Enforcement Inspector, is, for <br />primary services provided, that of a firefighter engaged in the hazards of fire fighting. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this governing body <br />hereby requests that the individual serving as the Housing/Code Enforcement Inspector <br />be accepted as a member of the Public Employees Police and Fire Plan effective the <br />date of this employee's initial Police and Fire salary deduction by the governmental <br />subdivision. <br /> <br />Adopted this 10th day of December, 2001. <br /> <br />.~-- <br /> <br />Richard Santerre, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />, /(\-(>--"I'~~''-lC- l)l~t,cj,---._- <br />Kathleen Miller, City Administrator <br /> <br />SEAL <br /> <br />Motion by: Thomas <br />Second by: Quick <br />Santerre Absent <br />Quick Aye <br />Stigney Aye <br />Marty Aye <br />Thomas Aye <br />
