RESOLUTION NO. 8418 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> APPROVAL TO PURCHASE NINE AUTOMATED EXTERNAL <br /> DEFIBRILLATORS (AED's) <br /> WHEREAS, the police department currently equips all police vehicles with <br /> automated external defibrillators (AED's) to aid officers during medical response calls; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the police department still has a current supply of nine AED's, <br /> which were issued in 2006 and are no longer being supported by the manufacturer; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is vital that medical AED equipment used by officers be dependable <br /> and reliable; and <br /> WHEREAS, last year the department purchased six new Philips AED units through <br /> donations and grant funds, with nine older units still in use in need of replacement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the total cost to purchase nine additional Philips AED units is <br /> $11,707.20, which includes trade-in credit for the nine older AED's. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota to approve the purchase of nine Philips AED <br /> units at a total cost of $11,707.20. <br /> Adopted this 26th day of May, 2015. <br /> r <br /> Joe Flah- Ma or <br /> ATTEST: / 1A VL <br /> James Ericson, City Administrator <br /> (seal) <br />
