<br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5689 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF THE TAX-FORFEITED <br />PARCEL "OUTLOT A, SHERWOOD ESTATES," PREVIOUSLY REQUESTED <br />WITHHELD FROM PUBLIC SALE <br /> <br />'NHEREAS, in October of 2001, Ramsey County notified the City <br />regardiTo\g the availability of tax forfeited parcels in the City of Mounds View; and, <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 24, 2001, the City Council approved Resolution <br />5682, a resolution authorizing the acquisition of three tax forfeited parcels for <br />stormwater management and requested that a fourth parcel, Outlot A of <br />Sherwood Estates, as shown on attached Exhibit A, be withheld from public sale; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff has met with the adjacent property owner to the <br />immediate south of Outlot A, who expressed a strong desire for the City to <br />purchase said Outlot A, Sherwood Estates, to permit a future single-family <br />residential minor subdivision; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning Commission, acting in accordance <br />with Minnesota Statutes, reviewed this potential property acquisition and the <br />proposed residential minor subdivision and found the purchase and proposed <br />use to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has provided the City of Mounds View with a <br />Calculation Statement for this property which indicates that the cost to acquire <br />this parcel would be $257.15; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to effectuate this property acquisition, the City will need to <br />submit to Ramsey County the $257.15 fee and a Certified copy of this resolution. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View does hereby approve of the acquisition of Outlot A, Sherwood <br />Estates, and further directs staff to enter into negotiations with the property <br />owner located at 2935 County Highway 10 for a possible resale of the parcel for <br />a potential single-family residential minor subdivision. <br /> <br />Adopted this 28th day of January, 2002. <br />
