RESOLUTION NO. 8429 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO HARDRIVES, INC., FOR THE MUSTANG <br /> DRIVE AND MUSTANG CIRCLE PAVEMENT REHABILITATION AND DRAINAGE <br /> IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View is planning to rehabilitate Mustang Drive and Mustang <br /> Circle; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed project includes pavement rehabilitation and drainage <br /> improvements; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council approved the plans and specifications and authorized the <br /> advertisement for bids per Resolution 8416; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this project was advertised a minimum of 21 days as required; and, <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement No. 2014-001, the <br /> improvement of Mustang Drive from Ramsey County Road 77/Old Highway No. 8 to Mustang Circle <br /> and Mustang Circle from Mustang Drive to the end of the cul-de-sac, bids were received, opened and <br /> tabulated according to the law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> Bituminous Roadways, Inc. $517,702.00 <br /> Hardrives, Inc. $433,916.56 <br /> Midwest Asphalt, Inc. $479,965.00 <br /> Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $448,270.17 <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by City Council of the City of Mounds View, Ramsey <br /> County, Minnesota that: <br /> 1. The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br /> Hardrives, Inc. of Rogers, MN with a bid of$433,916.56 in the name of the City of Mounds <br /> View for the improvement of Mustang Drive from Ramsey County Road 77/Old Highway No. 8 <br /> to Mustang Circle and Mustang Circle from Mustang Drive to the end of the cul-de-sac <br /> according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the city council and on file in the <br /> office of the City Engineer. <br /> 2.
