<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5727 <br /> <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT MOWER FOR THE PARKS <br />DIVISION OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council had previously approved the purchase of a 1995 Hustler <br />XL 440 mower; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said mower has been in use for seven years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a 2002 Toro Groundsmaster 328-0 4WO mower was budgeted for in the <br />2002 budget; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said mower would be purchased under state contract and thus forego the <br />requirement to acquire additional bids; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is a leaf mulcher kit available that will make the mower more useful; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said mower will replace the 1995 Hustler XL mower; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 1995 Hustler XL mower will be retained until June to determine its value <br />to the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if it is determined that the estimated cash value of the 1995 Hustler XL <br />mower is greater than the benefit of retaining it, said mower will be sold on the open market. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council does hereby <br />approve the purchase of a 2002 Toro Groundsmaster 3280 4WO rotary mower with the <br />aforementioned accessories under state contract in the amount of $19,964.49. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />approve the sale of the Hustler XL 440 rotary mower on the open market should staff determine <br />the estimated cash value is greater than the benefit of retaining this mower. <br />
