<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5734 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR THE REUSE FO TCAAP PROPERTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) <br />encompasses approximately 2300 acres in the northern 1/3 of the City of Arden <br />Hills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TAACP is currently owned and under the jurisdiction of the <br />United States Department of Defense; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property has not supported significant Department of <br />Defense operations since 1972; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has identified the property as a key <br />redevelopment priority for the community; adjacent communities, and the region; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is actively seeking the release of all <br />lands currently not being considered for use by the Minnesota Army National <br />Guard to be utilized consistent with the Vento Reuse Plan adopted in 1996; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a map outlining the general area for potential acquisition is <br />included as "Attachment A"; and a copy of the 1996 Vento Reuse Plan is included <br />"Attachment B;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 1-35 W Corridor Coalition Board of Directors has identified <br />the site as a priority requiring legislative action, intergovernmental cooperation, <br />and support from one or more Coalition members; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View has concerted interest in the reuse of <br />TCAAP; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, is supportive of actions and policy statements outlined in City of <br />Arden Hills Resolution #02-14 to facilitate the reuse of TCAAP. <br />
